''Se7en'' is a comic book edited by David Seidman and Ralph Tedesco. It was published as a hardcover edition by Zenescope Entertainment on January 15, 2008 and is based on the 1995 cult film ''Se7en'' directed by David Fincher. Zenescope acquired the license to adapt the film after building a strong relationship with New Line Cinema, the owner of the film.〔(Comic Book Resources.com Horrific sins: ''SE7EN" comes to comics this September )〕 But while the film was told from the perspective of the two homicide detectives, Somerset (played by Morgan Freeman) and Mills (played by Brad Pitt), the book ''Se7en'' is told from the perspective of John Doe (the story's serial killer). In the book, originally published in seven monthly issue series this September based on the film "Se7en" from September 2006 to October 2007 to be put together in one book in January 2008. ==Series in the book== Each issue explores a different sin in 32 page, in full color format and each brought by a different creating team and a different illustrated cover conveying the "sin". John Doe is painting a masterpiece using the seven deadly sins to teach a world full of sinners a lesson they won't soon forget as they step inside the mind of a notorious serial killer. The seven issues are dedicated to the Se7en deadly sins, i.e. gluttony, greed, sloth, lust, pride, envy and wrath.
